India defeated South Africa by 135 runs in a thrilling match held at the Wanderers Stadium in south africa, and achieved a glorious victory and clinched the series 3-1.
Tilak Verma from India gave a brilliant performance and scored 120 runs in 47 balls with the help of 10 sixes and 9 fours and also scored his second T20 century. While supporting Tilak Verma, Sanju Samson played a brilliant innings in which he scored 109 runs in 56 balls with the help of 9 sixes and 6 fours.
Abhishek Sharma’s magic did not work but still he scored 36 runs in 18 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes.
On the other hand, South African batsmen, facing a huge target, could only score 10 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 3 overs against India’s fast bowler Arshdeep. Then came David Miller and Stops who played a partnership of 86 runs and tried to score a good score but the target was far away.
All the six Indian bowlers demolished South Africa in 18.2 overs.
President of India Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi both congratulated the team and said in a video message “We won the World Cup on the field but we won the hearts of our countrymen in the streets and villages of India.”
